Podcasts, workouts, books and looks of February!

I started listening to Stranglers in February to fulfill my true crime podcast need. Also still listening to a ton of mom podcasts and one of my favourite podcast episodes from February was the Longest Shortest Time episode Choose Your Own Mom-Venture.

Lots of walks at the track, quite a few Fitness Blender workouts, a few yoga classes and a few at home yoga practices and… dun dun dunnnnn…. a couple of RUNS! Yup, I’m officially running again. It’s really more of a run/walk at this point with almost equal amounts walking to running, but it definitely feels good to be running again. I’m signed up for a half-marathon at the end of September but that is still lots of time to train so for now I’m just trying to do 2 run/walks per week and 3 other walks per week.

I read 4 books in February, down from 6 in January, but it was a shorter month so I’ll blame that.

Glory Over Everything was definitely my favourite book of the month. If you haven’t read The Kitchen House read it first. This author is really talented though and I’ve found both of her books to be huge page turners. Heat & Light was just OK, it had an interesting subject matter (fracking) but a bit too much going on for my liking. Be Frank With Me was cute and quirky. AWOL on the Appalachian Trail was interesting if you are interested in the Appalachian Trail, I wanted to learn more about it as my brother is planning to hike it (he actually starts tomorrow!)

Olivia’s Looks

Stephany made the great suggestion to feature Olivia’s looks instead of mine in this section of my monthly recap. I am way more into dressing her these days anyways 😉

Loving this little black & white polka dot sleeper my aunt got her!

Such an adorable sleeper and headband set from our friend Jess and her adorable daughter Brooklyn! My grandma made those cute little mary jane style slippers.

Is there anything cuter than a baby in jeggings??? Alllll the heart eyes. Also loving that adorable pink beanie hat my grandma made her. And the kerchiefs are necessary these days as she’s a drooling little machine!

What were your podcasts, books, workouts and looks of February??

She’s SO cute!! Those cheeks though!!! Is “Glory Over Everything” a continuation of “The Kitchen House”? I just finished it and looooooved it!

Hehehe, I’m glad you took my suggestion because I can never get enough pictures of Olivia. 🙂 It was so selfish on my part. Babies in jeggings – THE CUTEST.

I’m glad to hear that Glory Over Everything was just as good as The Kitchen House. I loved The Kitchen House!

  3. Love the idea of using Olivia’s looks. I need to do that going forward! Her outfits are adorable. Your grandma is crazy talented. She could sell the things she makes! But I know many people don’t want to do that and just want to make things for people they love (that’s how I felt).

I wish I Had read Glory Over Everything closer to The Kitchen House!

    And hooray for running again!!

  4. She is so expressive! Absolutely adorable <3
