Four Things Survey!

I’m sure you’ve read this on about 5,000 blogs by now and now you can read it on mine 🙂

Four names that people call me other than my real name:

1. Ambie – a couple of my college girlfriends started using this nickname and it’s still stuck with a few people!

2. Amb – my best friend’s mom shortens everyone’s name and she even figured out how to shorten mine – a name not traditionally shortened 🙂

3. Ambo – my grandpa basically only calls me this. I don’t remember the last time he said “Amber”

4. Poop – I know, weird but this is something Eric calls me and believe it or not it’s an affectionate term he has for me and I LOVE it when he calls me poop 🙂 It’s a weird long story as to how this nickname came about, ask me sometime over a glass of wine or coffee sometime!

Haha, I refer to Kyle as “Babe” all the time when we’re at home, usually yelling it through the house if I need him. As a result, Isla also yells “BABE?” when she wants him. It’s hilarious!

  2. LG says:

    Quigley Down Under!!! *high five*

  3. Jess says:

That’s so funny, I’ve been reading your blog for forever now and would have never pegged you for someone who swears a lot. Now I KNOW we would get along famously haha 🙂

  4. Kelly says:

Hahaha, I love that Eric calls you poop. My Eric calls Max “stink” so you guys are kind of stinky poopy buds 🙂

  5. Travel Spot says:

Poop!? Hahah! When can we have a glass of wine so I can hear that story? Hm, let’s see… I also love cheese, but not Swiss (as much). I pretty much like all other foods as well. What’s the plan for Lisa’s visit? Are you guys running or just hanging out? I love BC and have been there a few times, as you know. I even drove through Kamloops! Unfortunately, we were driving home at that point so did not hang out very much in the area.

  6. Stephany says:

I need to know the poop story! I need a coffee date with you! Haha. 🙂 I love how nicknames come about. It’s so funny!

  7. Lisa of Lisa's Yarns says:

ha, the poop nickname is an interesting one! It’s fun for me to read these as I always learn something – like I didn’t know you don’t like Swiss cheese. I am not crazy about it but will eat it.

That is exciting that you guys are going back to the Sunshine Coast! Can’t wait to hear what your big trip this year will be!

  8. I love these things!! I might do this one on my blog 🙂

  9. Becky says:

Haha Ben and I have such weird nicknames for each other it’s a shock when he says my actual name!

Also, a 2015 trip to D.C. sounds like a GREAT plan to me. Just sayin….
