Happy Friday! Whew. For a four day week it has been A WEEK for me. So busy but also so good. Here are a few of my musings from this past week in Five on Friday style.
One. With Eric in university it means constantly readjusting our norm and our routine. I feel like we were just getting into our summer routine with Eric and myself both working full-time. Eric had the car and I would take the bus to work in the mornings. He worked earlier hours than me so I had the house to myself in the morning and he had it to himself in the afternoons. Then suddenly he’s back in school and our whole routine shifts! Not necessarily in a bad way, it’s just something we have to adjust to. It will be nice when we don’t have these transition periods twice a year!
Two. Work is smoking busy this week! I think it’s the combination of a short work week and also we’re all out of the office at an event today. I have gone flat out for three days in the office with 4:30 sneaking up way too quickly every day! It feels good though. I like being busy and feeling really productive.
Three. I’m back at Crossfit and LOVING it. I’m going with my brother to a 4-week ‘beginners’ program at a new box from the last time I did it. They have different pricing options depending on how many times a week you want to go so I might do the 2x per week option after this month introduction is over. This week I ran twice, did yoga twice, went to crossfit twice and walked/hiked with Chloe and Eric every day. It feels great to have some variety in my workouts again!
Four. I spent some time playing in my succulent garden the other morning (pictured above). I finally managed to keep a garden not just alive, but thriving, this summer. And I only had to water it about five times in four months! Heh
Five. I am really looking forward to this weekend! It’s going to be one of those relaxing/productive weekends which is just what I need right now!
