OOTD: III

Why hello there! How was everyone’s week? Mine was great! Super busy and a bit overwhelming but great nonetheless.I don’t really have much content for you today but I have been saving up my OOTD (outfit of the day) posts again so thought I’d share. You can see my last two OOTD posts here.

I went on a huge shopping spree last week when Eric and I were wandering around the mall and stumbled on a huge sale in one of my favourite stores. I got a new blazer, slacks, four work shirts, a cardigan and two necklaces for $150! The blazer alone was marked down from $90 to $20. Whoo! I was quite pleased with myself after that sale.

Anyways, moving on to some recent OOTD’s :)

I wore this a few weeks ago. Look, boots that aren’t my Steve Madden ones! I feel like this outfit was a bit “old” for me but I do really like the cute ruffle on the back of that skirt.

Tank top: Rick’s. Shirt: Gap. Skirt: Suzy Shier. Tights: London Drugs. Boots: Payless. Necklace: Ricki’s.

One of my favourite blouses that I own. It is one of those shirts that does not look good at all on the hanger but fits really well. I’ve had it for a few years now and always feel great whenever I wear it!

Top: Suzy Shier. Slacks: Reitmans. Necklace: Florence, Italy :)

A random outfit I threw together one morning. I actually forgot that I even had that black sweater/cardigan thing. Isn’t finding clothes in the back of your closet that you forgot you had the best?

Cardigan: Ricki’s. Top: Suzy Shier. Slacks: Ricki’s.

One of my favourite and most comfy outfits as of late! This one will be making a regular reappearance on casual Friday’s!

Jeans: Bootlegger. Shirt: Walmart. Cardigan: Target.

One of the results of my shopping spree referenced above was this green shirt! This is actually a weekend outfit for me and I wore it last Friday night when we hosted our neighbour for dinner (which is the only reason I’m not wearing yoga pants instead. Ha. Weekends = workout clothes for me usually).

Top: Ricki’s. Jeans: Warehouse One.

The outfit I wore on the first day of my new job. This top and the necklace you can kind of see were also both from the above referenced shopping spree.

And one more, also from the above mentioned shopping spree. This top was the only thing I bought that wasn’t on sale and it’s an outfit Eric actually picked out for me while he sat there waiting for me to try on clothes for an hour, ha. I already had a white cardigan similar to the one in the store though so just recreated it at home!

Look at that, all pant outfits and my Steve Madden boots didn’t even make an appearance :) I have worn my two sweater dresses in the last couple of weeks just didn’t bother sharing them on the blog since everyone has already seen them!

What’s your favourite outfit that you’ve worn lately? What kinds of clothes / outfits do you wear on the weekends? I am always SUPER casual on the weekends unless I have plans or we’re having someone over.

I’m super casual on the weekend too, although if we’re going out to lunch or dinner I try to kick it up a notch or two and, you know, change out of my hoodie. I have to dress pretty professional for work so the weekend is my time to be comfy!

Cute outfits! I have been trying to break out of my every day boringness with outfits and it has been working a bit. I wore a sweater dress with my boots the other week and today I am wearing my dark dressy jeans with another new pair of brown boots! If I could stay in my sweat pants all weekend I would but usually I end up in jeans at least once.

I love the one purple shirt. My closet is so blah – lots of grey and black! So I just bought two new shirts in emerald green and a bright purple to try and brighten up my closet a bit. Saturdays is usually jeans, and a sweater and Sundays if we have nothing planned is a sweatpants day!

I love when you post OOTD posts – we shop at a lot of the same stores so you post things I would actually wear! I live in sweats on the weekend – unless we’re going out somewhere. Sometimes I dress up for church (“dress up” = clean jeans and a nice shirt) but as soon as I get home I’m back in sweats or yoga pants.

  5. I bought this light pink sweater with a big neck on it back at the beginning of January, and I love it! It’s so comfy, looks nice and is definitely my favorite piece right now.

    Have a great weekend!

  6. Cute outfits! I especially love the blouse in the second photo!

I always wear jeans on the weekends, but I also try to dress a little out of the box since I have to be so formal at work!

Love your outfit posts! I’m pretty much casual all the time – in fact I had a momentary panic moment earlier today when I realized I’d thought of everything for Ben’s birthday party tomorrow except what to wear!

  8. Melissa says:

I loooove your purple blouse and your black (fave) one! Those are SUPER cute! You’ve got such a fun style, it’s always fun to see it in these posts :)

  9. Caroline says:

You look great, Amber! Love all your outfits as usual : ) On weekends, I normal wear yoga pants!

  10. Heidi says:

Love that skirt and the purple top!

In the winter it’s sooo cold I find that when I wake up all I want to do is pull on sweaters and pants. lol I am more dressy in the summer! But you can wear jeans to my office any day of the week so it doesn’t really matter!

I love your favorite shirt! Very cute! Also, the first outfit is totally what I used to wear to work practically every day. I think it looks sophisticated but fun with the boots! Weekends? I usually wear my running clothes pretty much whenever I am not dressed / working.

  12. Kelly says:

I love all these outfits, especially the first one, those boots are awesome! I am a pretty casual dresser overall and I don’t even really like dressing up for work because running after kids can be a messy game- but I do try to look professional most of the time, except today when I was wearing a bright green cowboy hat for hat day- ha.

On the weekends I normally wear yoga pants :)

  13. I have the same Costco cardigan, but in black … now I am wishing I bought the white one too. It is nice!

So many cute outfits! I love the boots from the first pic. Makes me want to go shopping for some of my own :)

  15. Cute! I love that blouse in that 2nd picture! It’s adorable and looks awesome on you. You look great in all of these outfits.

I haven’t loved much of what I have worn lately. I am so over winter wear so I don’t see myself having any ‘ooh, I love this outfit’ experiences until we move to the next season…

What a great shopping day! I really like your 3rd and 4th outfits.

I’m pretty much casual all the time. I wear sweats during the day since I work from home and the only time I really leave the house is to work out.

The last time I wore “real” clothes, it was a sweater that I really like that’s actually from a Canadian chain called Garage. They have a couple stores in the Baltimore area which is how I first found them. Now that I’m living in WA state, just south of the border, I’ve been meaning to drive up and check them out in BC but haven’t gotten around to it yet.

  17. I wear pjs on the weekends. Or Jeans. Mostly, pjs.

  18. San says:

I really love your outfits.. It’s definitely all something I would wear :)

  19. Mom says:

I like the outfit Eric picked out, that looks really nice.

  20. Nicole says:

These outfits are definitely more “business casual.” Is that just coincidental or is your new office a little more dressy? Everything looks good!! I love that white cardigan and your necklace from Italy!!

Sorry- I miss the sweater dresses and SM boots!!

My post-baby wardrobe involves lulu pants or sweats, casual t-shirt and a hoodie! I can’t wait until I can wear some cute non-maternity clothes again!
