Quick Five on Friday
Hi everyone, I know I’ve been pretty absent on general life posts lately so here’s a quick five on Friday with some updates for you 
One.
I am writing this from bed. Ahhh, three-day weekends complete me!
Two.
Yesterday was my last day at my job. It was definitely a very bittersweet day. I had coffee with all my co-workers and boss in the morning and my boss said some really kind words and then they gave me a gift card to the spa. Clearing off and out my desk (above) was pretty sad too. It was definitely hard to leave such a great group of people to work with!
Three.
This has been the weirdest winter ever. Just when I think spring might actually be here I wake up to a huge dump of snow (read: this morning). I don’t hate the snow but I am kind of over it. At least it’s good for snowboarding (what Eric and I will be doing tomorrow) but it’s so not good for running which is why I’m still laying in bed instead of out running 3 miles right now.We had the most amazing December and January with spring-like weather and now February keeps dumping snow. Dislike.
Four.
Chloe got spayed on Tuesday. It was coincidental that it coincided with this but now I kind of hope she always associates chewing up things with going to the vet 
Anyways, she’s been running around with a cone on her head for the last three days and it’s kind of hilarious!
Five.
Plans for this 3-day weekend include: cleaning out some of the clutter in our house, cleaning my car, going clothes shopping, going snowboarding, going to the Vagina Monologues with some girlfriends, running 16 miles (26 km), writing some freelance stories and squeezing in some rest and relaxation. It should be a busy, but good one!

This snow is so crazy! It’s spring one day, and winter the next. I’m definitely over it.
I have no idea what I’m doing this weekend, I might be skiing, I might be swimming. Definitely doing lots of work either way!

Happy weekend! We’re getting weird weather here too – it was +5 and slushy yesterday, today we’re under a snowfall warning, and tomorrow it’s supposed to be -20. We’re finishing the massive purge/cleaning of our condo this weekend so we can list it to rent on Monday

The weather has been weird too, but I will take it over -30 for weeks straight! We are supposed to get 15cm of snow this weekend…hoping it doesn’t happen!
We don’t have much planned for our weekend. If it snows, I plan on fixing up some walls in our house. Just needs to be filled and painted again. Not fun, but will be worth it!

Its been the same here too!!! My clinic actually got cancelled last night, which NEVER happens, we had our clothing talk (coincidence that we were having on a blizzard night), then the marathoners were piling into the store….i guess they NEVER turn around and come back…we took that as a sign not to attempt because it was dangerously slippery (the reason they turned back even with spikes on). It was only a 2.5miler for us so no biggie.
This weekend is going to be spent sleeping, running, figuring out what we’re going to do with our ruined hardwood (three month old hardwood @_@) and how to fix the car. Sink over flowed from a slow drip and destroyed our new hardwood on Tuesday and then Wednesday the altenator on the beem went @_@ YIPES it has been an expensive week!!
haha poor Chloe, our old dog used to HATE having a cone on her head and would purposely knock it against things to show us how inconvenient it was to have such a large head. she’d even drag it against the wall and then pointedly look at us like “see? this is annoying!”
how funny you guys got that done for Chloe just after the Garmin chewing – maybe it’ll work!
I once had to put a cone on my dog’s head for a nasty skin rash she had on her foot and she looked hilarious! She would just sit in one spot and glare at you. I had to take it off because she wouldn’t move!
My weekend plans include waiting around for our water meter to be installed on Saturday, possibly going to look at a new (to us) vehicle, and going to the Bump It! Baby Trade Show with my mom on Sunday.

We are supposed to get snow too … blah. I shouldn’t complain though because it has been a ridiculously beautiful winter, which followed the best fall and summer I think we have ever had (at least in my lifetime).
This weekend I am attending a surprise party for a friend.
We woke up to a dump of snow too and supposedly more on the way! Not so sure I love it either.
Enjoy the Vagina Monlogues; I saw those back when I was in college (man that makes me sound old) and really enjoyed them.

You have a full weekend! I know the snow is a hindrance in terms of training, but i am glad you can enjoy it recreationally by snowboarding! I am hoping our March isn’t like your FEbruary has been!
I’ll spend my weekend mostly studying!
I’ve also got a 16 mile run planned for this weekend too! I haven’t decided yet whether to do it in the rain or on the treadmill…
I agree with the weird winter. While we haven’t been getting a lot of snow, it sure has been unseasonably warm! This weekend is cleaning, trying out some new recipes from a cookbook as old as me and just relaxing in general. I was supposed to have a three day weekend too, and then work got in the way!
Yikes- we have still not been hit bad by snow but I’m not feeling in the clear yet! Sounds like you have a great weekend ahead. Mine is going to be mostly productive since I just got home from vacation
Confession: I totally wanted to make a joke about the Garmin coinciding with the spaying, but I thought it was over the line, lol. I’m glad you made it for me

I say don’t fight the snow. Roll with it. Do just what you are doing – rest! Enjoy some down time this weekend!
We got a HUGE dump of snow in Montreal too (just in time for me to come home, ugh!) and like you I am sooooo over it. Ah well, such is life. We’ve still got a solid month to go through Canadian winter so I guess I better get re-used to it. It sucks because I don’t have things like snowboarding (or any winter sport) to take my mind off the hassle of getting around in this weather. I need a SOMETHING to help me out!

Good luck with the new job! Did you take a few days off in between or are you going right back today? I think if I was Chloe, I would NEVER chew anything ever again. So good job on the timing!
