Dear Santa II

Well friends, it’s that time of year again. The holiday season! Last year I wrote a Christmas list which turned out to be very effective as I was gifted most of the things on my list πŸ˜‰ So I’m doing the same thing this year! Check out my Christmas list last year and my present haul – my family totally spoiled me!

Anyways, this year all I want for Christmas is…

A kobo e-reader!

KOBO

Yup, I’ve caved and decided I’m ready to go the e-reader route. I did a lot of traveling this past year and it was really hard to travel with more than one book. Also really annoying when I was traveling and finished the only book I had with me. An e-reader would make it so much easier. Plus, we don’t have a lot of extra room for books in our house as it is!

Run for it pullover and/or Run your heart out tights – Lululemon

There is sooo much lululemon stuff I want that I could fill up this entire blog post with the different lulu things I would like. But after much debate I decided that these two things would benefit me most during winter marathon training. Oh, and I’ll take both in size 10 please and thank you. Or a GC of any amount would go towards one of these two things πŸ™‚

A gift card to the Running Room for new shoes

My current running shoes are not going to last me through my whole marathon training cycle and I’m going to need a new pair in early 2012. I’ve been running in the Asics GT-2160’s for about a year now and I’m really happy with them! A gift card of any amount for the Running Room would go towards that purchase!

Nike dri-fit socks

I have asked for these the last two years in a row and my family always comes through! Somehow when Christmas rolls around I always need more as I’ve wrecked or misplaced most of the ones from the year before…why does it work that way with socks?

Starbucks Coffee

Starbucks christmas blend

My mom got me a few bags of coffee for my birthday and we’re almost out. I LOVE Starbucks coffee and have been saving a lot of money by making coffee at home every day but Friday (when I treat myself to a latte!) the last few months. I would love another couple bags. Especially a few Christmas Blend ones!

Some prints for our walls!

{source, source, source}

As evidenced by this post our walls in our townhouse are still really bare. A full 7 months after moving in! I would love some prints to hang on our walls. Above are a few of my favourites that I found on etsy but I’m not too terribly picky. I just love the idea of hanging prints/typography rather than JUST photos!

And that’s about it! I can’t think of anything else I really want. None of these things are NEEDS of course but I sure do want it all πŸ˜‰ Plus it’s always fun thinking about your Christmas list every year!

What is on your Christmas list this year?

Love your list πŸ™‚ Glad you are going the e-reader route- I love it. I noticed the Kindles have dropped down to $79 too so it’s almost a steal now! I’ve been doing all library books on it lately and it’s been working out pretty well. It actually forces me to read more.

I have to start thinking about what I want! Eric asked me the other day and I was like ah… hmm? I am so much better at thinking about what I want in the exact moment rather than what I want in a month haha. Like right now I want some cute leggings on sale at Ann Taylor Loft, and some fun wintery clothes to enjoy this Thanksgiving weekend in haha

I have NO IDEA what I want for Christmas this year. I’m hoping to get a new dresser for my birthday and since all of us are trying to be more sensible this year (we usually go overboard with gifts), it’s been harder to choose things I really want.

Although I did tell my mom I would consider this Christmas to be a waste if I didn’t get a Snuggie. Yes, a Snuggie. I’ve been coveting one for a while now. Fingers crossed! πŸ˜‰

  3. It’s hilarious that the majority of my “wants” are actual “needs” having to do with running (new pants, bra, socks). Hilarious or sad. I’m not sure…

  4. AshleyD says:

I have a kobo ereader and love it. I didn’t really think I would, but it has been so helpful when I’m traveling to not have to carry around books.

I’m also asking for a GC for lululemon, coffee, a hair straightener, a few movies, and nail polish. πŸ™‚

  5. Katrina says:

Love your list….mine is similar. Lulu gc (when I told Steve this he was like ummm well ya that goes w/o saying lol), running room dri fit socks, gc for new pair of running shoes, a cadilac gc (works at anystore in the mall) and curtians/blinds or stuff for my soon to be new kitchen πŸ™‚

  6. If you got that last typography print, you could have it on your dessert table at your wedding or something !! That yellow would work as it ties in with the yellow of the sunflowers! πŸ™‚

I love looking at your guest list! I need to put mine together. I have a couple of lists going, but it’s lots of practical stuff! πŸ˜‰ Which is part of being an adult, I suppose!

  7. Fun Christmas list! I have a lot of running related items on my list this year too. A 2012 Runners World Calendar (so inspirational!), subscription to Runners World, and always happy to receive gu’s and chomps (great stocking stuffers!).

  8. paige says:

Ohh, love the list! Good one on the e-reader, though I would go for a Kindle personally (my brother got one barely a WEEK before they dropped the price-hehe-and I got to play with it-LOVE). Yeah, lulus- I don’t even go in anymore. Why tempt myself? I could drop a whole paycheck there without even blinking.

I also love the ‘keep calm’ print. Isn’t it funny how once you have a dog, you can’t believe you made it so long without one? How’s her house training going by the way?

  9. I am almost out of ideas for christmas gifts. I’m actually thinking about asking my family to pay for some race registrations. it’s pitiful.

  10. What a great list! I like the idea of the prints/typography. I definitely need more for my walls too!
I can’t wait to see what you think of the e-reader. I think if I traveled more I would use mine regularly.

  11. Ris says:

I’m really in need of some new running shoes before I start half marathon training in the spring. Here’s hoping santa brings a pair for both of us!!

  12. Lindsey says:

Love the Run for it Pullover! I asked for a new camera lens, tripod, a few Lululemon items, Roxy loafer type shoes, Coach perfume, and a juicer!

  13. I got an e-reader last December. I was a skeptic until I got one. Now I don’t leave home without it. Literally. πŸ™‚

On my list… I don’t need/want much, but I would be happy with a gift card so I can keep filling said e-reader! πŸ™‚

  14. Lauren says:

I love my Kindle! It broke a month after I got it (the screen got stepped on), but they sent me a brand new one two days after I called because they have a 1 year warranty! My Christmas list is a new phone and winter jacket.

  15. Kyla Roma says:

I definitely second you on the art front! We have pretty bare walls in our main floor and I’m excited to decorate them in the new year. I’m a little obsessed with oversized letters spelling things as art, and I want to add ones that spell “nifty” to our living room.

I hope you get everything on your list- and that you enjoy your kobo! I love my kindle but now that I have an iPad with a kobo app on it I totally see the kobo side of things- you’ll be in good hands πŸ˜‰

  16. Leigh says:

Haha everything on my Christmas list was running/exercise related. From the stick, to a lulu running skirt, to dri fit socks, to a GC for running room to a Jillian Michael’s dvd. I would rather be specific about what I am asking for so I know I get it πŸ™‚

  17. Suz says:

Great wish list! I run in the Asics 21 series too and love them. I don’t know if you have a Dick’s Sporting Goods store near you, but they are going to have them on sale for $69 on Friday and I got a $20 off coupon from them. Nordstrom has them for $69 online right now too with free shipping. I have bought new ones on black friday for the past 2 years (even if I didn’t need them yet) because they are such a good deal! Although I once got lucky and found a pair of 2150s at TJ Maxx for $49, but that was a fluke!

  18. Holly says:

I’m still not sure how I feel about E-readers. I stare at a computer screen all day at work so I don’t think I’d want to read on a screen after work. I’ll stick with my books for awhile longer, I guess πŸ™‚ I want a Norwex mop for Christmas this year! I’m such a mom …

  19. fun list! i went the ereader route last year and i love it. THis year i asked for the iPad. *swoon*

  20. Nora says:

I love this list! And Nike dri fit socks? Totally awesome. I have received those or a variation on them the last few years and just love them.

The only thing on my list so far is an Erin Condren planner. I need to think about the other stuff I want πŸ™‚

  21. I havent even thought about Christmas yet, and honestly, I dont know if there’s anything I want. Maybe some dumbbells that are grippy. Mine slip around in my hands when I get all sweaty and I HATE it.

  22. Kara says:

I have almost nothing on my list! Or at least nothing affordable on it. There’s a couple camera lenses I would love to get my hands on, and we really need new furniture for our new house, but really – I got nothing!

  23. I would love an ereader as well, but I simply don’t read enough books as it is. I tell myself I’d read more if I had one, but who knows. I am also in love with so many lulu things, but would love some of the inspire crops. Otherwise, I just want $ and a new vacuum. Ours broke about 2 months ago and I keep putting off having to spend $250 of my own money on one. Ugh.

  24. Caroline says:

Great list! I too want everything from Lululemon : ) haha
This year, I’m trying to think of practical things that I ‘need’ not ‘want’, which I know isn’t as fun..

  25. A Super Girl says:

I was firmly anti e-reader until I finally caved this past summer. I really like my Nook. Though, I read about 6 books in a row on it, and that was about my limit before I craved the feel of an actual book. I’ll never give those up, but it’s nice to have the Nook for traveling, etc.

  26. Rachel says:

I bought that Run for It Pullover. Worth every penny! As for sizing, it fits really long in the torso. I’m 5’10” and I bought a size 8. And I’m all torso! Dunno how tall you are, but thought I’d throw that out there. πŸ™‚

Your list is great! I can’t really think of anything I want for Christmas. Maybe a Staples gift card so I can buy school supplies, lol!

  27. Nicole says:

Great post! I am a library girl so not sure if I will make the switch to an ereader any time soon. Hubby loves his Kindle though and I like how the books take up no room at all!

Usually I have running stuff on my Christmas list but not this year. I am sorta stumped as I don’t really need anything, but need lots for the baby. Do I ask for stuff for the baby though?

  28. I want that Lululemon Pull Over!

  29. Kyria says:

Funny you are doing this. I have a post in the works for the same reason! I love this, becuase everyone can look at it instead of asking, “and WHAT did you say you wanted?” And, who knows, maybe complete strangers will start sending you things you want. You never know.

I have a Kindle and love it for traveling. This way I always have an extra book on hand! I hope you get everything you want!

  30. I’ll probably just ask for Amazon gift cards or something because honestly, I can’t really think of much that I want or need this year. Last year it was easy, I wanted to replace my broken iPod but this year there’s nothing like that.

  31. Becky says:

My best friend (Megan) has a kobo e-reader and I’ve borrowed it a few times and love it! I’m thinking I’m going the kindle route (because I feel like Amazon is super accessible), but the kobo touch and kindle touch are almost exactly the same. I would recommend checking out which type you like because I thought I’d want one with buttons but I realized not having anything at the bottom made it way easier/more comfortable for me to hold it!

  32. Bronwyn says:

Love it. My list so far: those lululemon pants you just posted. Coffee, for sure, and wow, that’s about it for now.

  33. Heidi says:

hahahah Run your heart out tights and the pull over on my list. I’ve always wanted the I love you, blogs, and coffee poster! I also planned to pick up a pound of that coffee this week as well.

My main must have? Garmin 305!!!!

  34. Melissa says:

Awesome list girl! I’m a Kindle owner (I know, for shame as a Canadian, right?) I work with Kobo though and have seen a lot of problems with it… But also a lot of good. Anyway I’ve always been torn between the two. If you ever want more (lots) of info on it, you can always shoot me a message of some sort I’d be glad to lend you my e-reading help πŸ™‚

  35. I have a weird mix of things on my Christmas list this year … some books, some kitchen stuff, a phrenology head …

  36. Love your list! It gave me great ideas to put on mine as well πŸ™‚
