Today I am 22! The world is my oyster…or something like that 
This collage includes images from my 3rd, 19th, 20th and 21st birthday! Can you guess which is which!? 
I just realized that I partied hard on my 18th, 19th and 21st birthdays but my 20th birthday was super mellow. Well, I guess my even numbered birthdays will continue to be mellow because I have nothing wildly exciting planned for my 22nd (does this mean I have to go crazy again on my 23rd?). I’m going to Hot Yoga this morning, getting a hair cut this afternoon and having drinks with girlfriends tonight. I am running tomorrow morning at 6 AM, so I can’t go too crazy.
Tomorrow, Eric and I are off to the ocean for two nights and 1.5 days. I am so excited! We’ve rented a cabin right on the ocean, it has a hot tub on the deck and is literally steps away from the water. I am not bringing my laptop and I plan on turning the blackberry off once I get there! I want to spend those days/nights relaxing, sleeping, reading and spending time with Eric. I’m bringing my running shoes but with no expectation to run and no set mileage in mind. If I feel like running, I will run. Also, if the weather is nice we might go kayaking on Saturday – good cross-training!
I think it sounds like the perfect way to celebrate my birthday

I’m getting stuff ready for my new apartment this weekend! I move next week and am super excited. I’m also going to have to spend money on some new work pants because I discovered bleach stains on 3 pairs!

Hi, and happy birthday! This weekend will probably be pretty low-key since this last weekend was pretty hectic with Baylor’s birthday party and Labor Day. I plan on writing thank yous for him, hopefully writing on my blog, and hopefully getting some more sleep. Oh, and watching an MSU football game! I prefer low key birthdays. Last year I spent most of the day alone, running errands, and preparing for the Mexican Fiesta that I hosted. That was just perfect for me. I will have another low key birthday when I turn 30, too. It’s just the way I roll, I guess!
This weekend, I am running 20 miles. That is pretty much all I am thinking about!
I am so glad you are going away for an ‘unplugged’ weekend. That will be great for you & Eric! When you turn on your phone upon returning, I am sure you’ll have some bbms & an email from me, recapping my 20 miler. Eeks, sort of nervous now that I am thinking about it!!

I’m having the hardest time figuring out which of those pictures is from your 3rd birthday. Just kidding! I think your weekend sounds perfect. When we were on vacation this past weekend I tried my best to stay offline and off my phone. It’s funny how that wasn’t even an option a few years ago, and now you have to make a conscious effort to do so.
As for this weekend, I’ll probably be checking up on everything I missed from my weekend away. Which also means I really need to unpack and clean around the house.

Wow…a cabin on the ocean with a hot tub AND kayaking? I don’t think a birthday could possibly get any better! Have a blast!
As for my weekend, it’s shaping up to be a boring one, unfortunately. Gonna go on a quick run tomorrow morning followed by a bunch of errands (take the dog to the vet, grocery shopping, haircut, etc…) and if I can get my wife to take a damn break from her Chemistry work, we might go out to dinner. Sunday’s still up in the air, but I’ll probably spend the day reading and blogging.
