Today, I have to go to work, come home, clean my apartment, back my backpack, kiss Webster goodbye, hang out with my mom, sleep.

Tomorrow, I have to say goodbye to my mom and Webster (it’s going to be teary, I’m RIDICULOUSLY SAD about being apart from Webster for five whole weeks!), drive to Calgary (7 hours through the mountains. Yikes!) and get a good sleep.

Sunday, I get to see H-woman and Leigh! Sunday night, I fly to EUROPE.

I can’t believe it’s been four whole months since we booked our trip. The time has flown by. I want to thank you all so much for all the advice you have given me while planning for this trip. Once again, I have no idea what I’d do without blogging!

So, a little housekeeping, don’t think you can just neglect this blog while I’m gone! No sirrie!

Here’s a few things I have in store for you:

  • A few fabulous guest posts from my favourite bloggers.
  • An AWESOME giveaway coming up the week of May 10. Trust me you don’t want to miss this giveaway!
  • My very first VLOG, which is also a tour of the new apartment I recently moved into!
  • ME! That’s right, I plan on updating from Europe 1-2 times per week while we’re gone. So check back for those updates and hopefully a few sneak peeks of our trip in photos!

OK, clearly you don’t want to forget to check in up in here because there is some awesome stuff coming in the next three weeks! Unfortunately, I won’t be commenting on/reading other blogs BUT I promise to catch up when I get back!

See y’all May 17! I’m gonna miss you guys! XO

Ahh! Have a fantastic trip!! You’re right those four months really did go by fast!
I’m going to miss you and your blog while you’re gone!

As for the stress fracture/shin pain – I’ve read that if the shins hurt initially and then get better as you continue this is most likely shin splints (as opposed to a stress fracture), so that’s good! As for me, I can’t even WALK to the gym now let alone start running, so I’m pretty sure this is a bad sign.. I’ve never had pain in this area before (it’s like outside part of my shin and up near the muscle but it feels realllyyy deep, like I can’t even touch the pain), but I’ll let you know what I find out!

Wow I kind of freaked out when you said you were going to be away from Webster for five weeks…but you are going for THREE weeks right? I am so happy to hear you are going to update the blog because I really can’t wait to hear how the trip is going…and also I will still be at work and need my excitement in the morning haha.
By the way if you see a restaurant called Le Cave in Rome (near Ignatio or Ignatius Church) eat there. It’s delicious and amazing. Trust me you’ll be thanking me haha.
    Have a safe flight!!!!!!

    • MissAmber says:

      Haha yes, should have clarified!

We are in Europe for THREE weeks. But since my mom is already coming back to Kamloops for my graduation at the beginning of June she is just bringing Webster back to Kamloops with her then and that’s two weeks after we get back from Europe!

So, three weeks in Europe and five weeks away from Webster :)

I’ll be missing your daily posts too! But I’m glad to hear that you’re trip is happening. Hope you and Eric have a blast, and I can’t wait to hear all about the trip when you get back (and while you’re there even!)

  23. Eeek!! So flipping excited for you. You are going to have a blast. Enjoy every g.d. minute of this trip. Enjoy the ups and the down. The unexpected and the inevitable snafus. The arguments and make-ups. Enjoy it all. It will make for a great story and you will never forget this trip, that is for sure.

I am seriously getting chills as I read this because I am so dang excited for you two!

OH, and don’t go to the Marais area of Paris on a Saturday because everything is shut down due to the Sabbath. Not sure if you will even be in Paris on a Saturday, but if so, keep that in mind. That’s my last bit of advice.

And please blow kisses to the Eiffel Tower! And eat crepes. And pain au chocolat. And drink wine at 10 in the morning if you want to – because you wont’ be alone, they drink at all hours of the day of there.

Eek! Ok, have fun! Be safe!

Oh, two last stupid scams to avoid in Paris that are just silly so I doubt you will fall for them:

    1. A man will drop a gold ring by you, pick it up and say ‘you dropped this’ and then talk tourists into paying for it… Just look him in the eye and say No Merci in a forceful voice.

    2. Sometimes they will try to tie a bracelet on your wrist and then get you to pay for it. So when someone comes towards you with a bracelet – once again – ‘no merci’ will get rid of them. These guys like to hang out at the bottom of the vunicular that brings you to the top of the stairs by Sacre Couer.

Ok, that’s it. God I feel like such a mom right now! But those were 2 scams that I had read about & had people attempt them on me. I just gave them my bitchiest look. Which si quite bitchy. I’ll show you in October if anyone tries to double cross us. Ha.

Ok, I am rambling! I am going to miss you & your bbm’s! Be safe! Have fun! Take lots of pictures! Come back with stories!

    k. thanks. bye.
