I’m only like three weeks late to the party. No big deal. Here’s some pictures from my fabulous, amazing, wonderful 3-week holiday that went by way, way too quickly.

Let’s start from some miscellaneous photos from the holiday:

I celebrated a 1-year-olds birthday (my baby cousin, Abi).

Ate Elmo Cake, courtesy of my aunt. The same one that took these photos. Talented, much?!

Babysat Eric’s niece.

Wanna see something CUTE? Stick two babies together.

Decorating the tree. Yaa for self-timer photos!

After running 4-miles, outside when it was snowing and -15 C (5 F). My legs were numb afterwards.

A yummy seafood pasta that Eric made me one night! So good.

Hope you enjoyed Part I of my holiday recap. Part II and III coming next week! Look at that, two picture posts in one week, go me!

Another thing that I plan on doing this year is posting more pictures on my blog. My goal is at least one photo per blog post. I bought a $1,000 camera six months ago and I made a goal in September to take more pictures so I might as well put them out there for everyone to see. I always enjoy blog posts with pictures more. That’s one of my favourite things about food blogs!

What do you guys think? Do you like blog posts that have pictures or are too many pictures annoying?

I agree with you, I like blog posts with pictures too. I’ve been trying to do the same thing on my blog. It makes it so much more interesting! :)
Have a great weekend, Amber!

I like pictures, but I think the topic of the blog post is more important to me than whether or not it has pictures. Just me though :)

I LOVE that Elmo cake!

I also like pictures in a post. They don’t need to be part of every post, but when it makes sense, it’s great to have them. I always love recap posts w/ photos like this one.

Great photos! That pasta looks SO good! The kids in the pics are all so cute & your tree turned out great!!

Happy Friday!

Having pictures of not doesnt bother me.

You are awesome for running outside when its so cold. Im trying to build my motivation to run outside again in these temperatures.

My blog traffic like doubled when I started adding photos. Of course, that coincided with other stuff but I’m sure that’s one of the main reasons!

I too need to get cracking on the fancy new expensive camera!

Great pics! I love recaps like this with a lot of pictures, and I like it when blog posts have one picture or so. (Hence why I always try to post one when I write my blog). It’s something to break up the words and nice to look at. :)

I like having at least one picture just to break up the text (it’s something I’m working on as well), but I don’t like long streams of pictures in every post. Once in awhile, like this, is fine, but that’s actually why I don’t like reading food blogs too often. It just takes so long to read and look at a picture you know you need to really pay attention to.

I think this is the perfect amount of photos (really, I do!)

The White Christmas is a goregous photo. I always love seeing what houses/architecture looks like in other places so thanks for sharing that.

And how in the world do you run in 5F weather!?

I agree — two babies is always cuter than one. (A close friend from college has twin daughters, my heart completely melts every time I see the two of them together.)

I always enjoy posts with pictures in them.

Webster looks SO MUCH like our Simba (minus a few pounds)!! Nick was looking over my shoulder while I was reading this and he’s decided that Webster is Simba’s long lost twin.

I vote yes on pictures… I don’t think you ever overdo it and I think it’s great being able to put a face to a name.

Haha! I like that you’re just now posting your Christmas recap because as you know, I’m finally getting back to the blog after my own extended holiday. So I’m totally in sync with ya! Great pics!

I’m having a hard time getting motivated to run here where it’s about 15F after being in Texas where it was about 50F. 5F? You? Are hardcore! I’m impressed.

I like pictures in blog posts. I’ve been trying to do more of it but haven’t been succeeding, as of late. But I think pictures break up posts and help give another glimpse into a person’s life. Plus, they’re fun to look at!

Whoa . . . you actually went outside AND RAN WHEN IT WAS -15 DEGREES C??? It’s a little shy of that in Glasgow right now and I feel like like I’m going to die every time I leave the flat! How can you RUN in it?? VOLUNTARILY???

I LOVE the tree by the way!

I love the blue and silver tree. It’s really pretty.

And I’m a sucker for pictures. I love looking at them. Although I’m not a fan of posts of 100% pictures. I still want to have a least something to read about the pictures?

And that seafood pasta looks delicious, and is making me hungry!

great photos! I am so envious of the white christmas you had! (though, I don’t think I would have ran in it, haha).

I am also envious of your camera! I desperately need a new one. mine works ok but I’d like an upgrade. I just can’t afford it at the moment. but maybe soon! I do love taking photos and looking at other people’s photos! so bring it on! :)

happy weekend!
