First, thanks for all your encouraging and positive comments yesterday. I’m so excited for my journey to 26.2!
This is Part II of the Christmas Vacay Recap, aka a recap of Christmas Eve. Part I can be found here.
On Christmas Eve all of the family on my mom’s side get together for a big dinner, gift exchange and songs so here are some photo’s from that evening.
I spent all day Christmas Eve making truffles for my Christmas presents.

Eric has got really into lifting weights since moving back to FSJ so I got him a shirt that says “Welcome to the Gun Show” for Christmas.

For some reason my baby cousin, Abi, is really scared of/doesn’t like Eric. That’s her scared face that she makes when she sees him!

Umm, their were SO many delicious desserts that night that I loaded up my plate. I didn’t eat all of this – not quite anyways. And I wondered why my pants were a little tight after Christmas!

My brother recently learned how to play guitar so he played a couple songs for us that night. He did really good!

My aunt was also going crazy snapping photos with her DSLR that night!

We snapped some pictures with my great-grandma that night, too. Below is my grandma, my mom, me and my great-grandma!

My brother with my grandma, mom and great-grandma.

My two, dorky-looking cousins towering over Granny.

And one more picture of the cutie-pie for the road.

In other news, apparently yesterday was official Blog “De-lurking” Day. Last year on the delurking day I jumped from 0-3 comments per post to a whopping 10 comments and it just went up from there! I couldn’t believe so many people were actually reading my blog. So, if you’re a lurker over here I’d love for you to leave me a comment saying, ‘hi’ and telling me a bit about yourself, like what you’re up to this weekend? Or what you thought of Grey’s last night? (I thought it was pretty good!)
I *finally* got my laptop back last night after it showed me the black screen of death almost two months ago so I have a HUGE list of work/finance/freelance/blog/school stuff to catch up on this weekend that I’ve been putting off since I didn’t have my laptop! I will also hopefully spend a bit of time with my good friend, Jen, who I haven’t seen in ages and going to a friend’s birthday party tonight!
Have a lovely weekend everyone! XO

Great pics! Happy weekend!
Aww, Abi is really cute!
This weekend; sadly, my Saturday will probably be spent doing uni-overtime to make headway on a project I need to finish. But Saturday night should be party-time!
Have a lovely weekend!
i finally get the place to myself the entire weekend! Wahoooooo! fiance is going to New Jersey. Usually it’s me that goes places. but he’s going to see old friends. sadly, most of that is going to be cleaning….
I thought Grey’s was really good. I think they did a great job of casting Alex on that show – he is perfect in that role.
Lovely pics
(you’re so photogenic, miss!)
Happy weekend!
Is Blog De-Lurking day actually a thing? I was wondering why I had so many visits yesterday.
I’m getting ready to go back to school this weekend. I need to buy a new suitcase, boring stuff like that.
Your pictures are so pretty by the way!
Those pictures are lovely and those truffles look delish!
But really, I can’t believe that you’re only getting your laptop back now. TWO months later? That’s an insanely long time. You do have a computer, right? Cos, if you don’t how have you been coping??!! Seriously, I’d go nuts if I couldn’t have my laptop (or my mum’s laptop – which ever’s nearest)for so long.
So cute!
I really need to catch up on Grey’s. Geeez.
Ha, love the shirt that you got for Eric. That’s pretty classic!
And those desserts. Even those it’s 9am here I’m now craving dessert…. =)
Confession: I don’t watch Grey’s. Can we still be friends!?
Love the 4 generation picture Amber! Your gramma’s look great.
Ayla has that same dress as Abi – soooo cute!
Great Christmas eve pics! Give Jen a huge hug for me when you see her!
xoxo
Oh her scared face is so adorable!! Too sweet lol
Looks like a wonderful time!
Even though I’ve been commenting for a bit now, just wanted to say hi and that I love reading your blog every morning
I was happy that Grey’s was finally back on last night…and I definitely saw that kiss between Alex and little Grey coming!
I love the picture of you, your mom, your grandma and your great-grandma. I have one from a while back and it brings back lots of memories
I am up to nothing this weekend, other than cosmic bowling Saturday night!
And Grey’s was super last night. Did you watch the Private Practice cross-over as well? I’m curious to know what happens between Mark and Little Grey – I liked them together!
What did I think of Grey’s? I think that Lexy is a dumbass!
Wow – your comments have skyrocketed over the last year! Go you!
I know I have been a faithful commenter since the day I first started reading your blog. I still remember the first post I read – you posted about the Mizunos you had just bought!
Anywho, great pictures. Love the one w/ 4 generations!!! The pics are all great, though. Thanks for sharing.
I’m glad you have your computer back! I would be lost without mine!!! My weekend will be semi-busy. Happy hour tonight, lunch w/ 2 girlfriends tomorrow, and then a get-together w/ some cousins on Sat night. So kind of a full weekend! But Sunday is wide open so I am hoping to do a 7-10 mile run since it will be above Freezing! So around single digits in Celsius!
I LOVE the 4 generation pics! I never knew my great grandmothers & can only barely remember a great grandfather so I think it’s awesome that you have those memories!
Oh and my pants are tighter post-holiday too. It happens…
So yeah- I definitely comment every day, but I love your Christmas pictures. Those truffles look amazing!
i think it’s awesome that your dorky cousins still have mustaches and mullet’s. it’s very South Carolina of them.
Great pics!
Grey’s was good last night, and I loved Private Practice too. Bailey makes me laugh.
that “gun show” shirt is hilarious! and I love that photo of the four generations– you are so lucky to have your grandma AND your great-grandma in your life! I don’t, so I try to tell everyone that does to take advantage of it! it really is a gift, I think.
as for the weekend, not sure what I’ll be up to… but I hope you have a fun time with your friends!
Wow! Lots of photos! LOVE it! It looks like y’all had an amazing Christmas!
I think your pictures are adorable. And how awesome to have a picture of you, your mom, grandma and great grandma!
Have a great weekend Amber!
Congrats on finally getting your laptop back! I’m not sure I could survive without mine for 2 months!
what a cutie little bebe!
Can I just say that your skin looks amazing in that picture of you?! Not saying you have horrible skin usually, but that picture of you just so wonderfully shows how great of skin you have.
That is all.
the pictures are adorable!
that baby is SO cute!
I love all the pictures! You’re so beautiful Amber
Seriously!!
As for Grey’s, I also thought it was better!!! It’s (hopefully) starting to return to its roots… And for once I watched the Private Practice following it… did you? It was ok!
Oops I missed the big announcement. How exciting!
I’m delurking today.
All the best on your marathon!
That little girl is adorable!!! Awww!
And those desserts… omg… YUM!

All the pictures of the food made my stomach grumble!
