How long have you been together?
On and off since February 2005 and consistently together since May 2006. High school relationship, enough said.
How long did you know each other before you started dating?
Well, we’ve technically “known” each other since we were about six years old. We were good friends for about six months before we started dating, though.
Who asked whom out?
He asked me out.
How old are each of you?
I’m 21 and Eric just turned 23.
Whose siblings do you see the most?
Well when we are in Fort St. John we spend a lot of time with Eric’s sister and her kids and we also see my brother a lot. Both of our families live in FSJ so when we are both there we spend a lot of time with all of them. Eric has an older brother and an older sister and I have a younger brother.
Which situation is the hardest on you as a couple?
Definitely being in a long-distance relationship; it can be very draining on a relationship especially after a few weeks have gone by. When we first started dating money was a big issue, but not so much anymore, oh, and when we lived together it was CHORES! I was a bit of a nag when it came to chores.
Did you go to the same school?
Yup, several times! We went to the same elementary school from Grade 1 to Grade 10 (Eric was a grade above me) then we went to the same high school (Grades 11 and 12), where we started dating, and then we went to the same University (TRU in Kamloops) for four months!
Are you from the same home town?
Yup, we both grew up in Fort St. John, BC, Canada. Well, actually we grew up about 45-minutes outside of town in a couple of small communities. The houses that we grew up in are six miles apart from each other.
Who is smarter?
Ha, well it depends who you ask, we’d each tell you differently. To be completely honest, I’d say we are both smart but in different ways. I’m better at the writing/English side of thing, he’s really good at things like drawing, building things, math etc. Actually, in all honesty, Eric’s probably smarter then me, I just work harder at school-type things. I also read more and I think that people who read tend to be more knowledgeable about things but not necessarily smarter.
Who is the most sensitive?
Me. Definitely.
Where do you eat out most as a couple?
I think we get Japanese, Chinese of fast food the most!
Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple?
Hazelton in August 2007 for his sister’s wedding. It was a great trip – 10-12 hours driving each way.
Who has the craziest exes?
Hahahaha. Definitely me.
Who has the worst temper?
We both have pretty bad tempers. He tends to be more of the broody, silent-treatment, stays-mad-for-days type of temper. I have the screams-out-loud, throws-things, has-a-hissy-fit, is-over-it-in-10-minutes type of temper.
Who does the cooking?
I do more often but Eric is an AWESOME cook. It’s a real treat when he cooks for me!
Who is the neat-freak?
Me; Eric does a good job cleaning when he wants to, but he tends to leave things lying around. I’m a neat-freak and like to have everything clean and tidy on a regular basis. See above question about us fighting over chores.
Who is more stubborn?
We both are, but Eric is definitely more stubborn than I am. He has “silent treatment” down to an art form.
Who hogs the bed?
Definitely me, I like to be spread out when I’m sleeping!
Who wakes up earlier?
Once again, me; I’m a morning person. Eric is not.
Where was your first date?
Our first official date was on Valentines Day, 2005. We went and saw Boogeyman and he brought me a pink rose. I was 16!
Who is more jealous?
Me! I am a very jealous person, Eric is not. At least not that he lets on.
How long did it take to get serious?
Well we probably got serious too fast, which resulted in us being in an on-and-off relationship for the first year. But I guess we’ve always been pretty serious, we lived together for the first time when I was only 18 (we’d been together over two years, though).
Who eats more?
Usually Eric does, but I eat A LOT sometimes.
Who does the laundry?
When we lived together I did. I actually enjoy laundry.
Who’s better with the computer?
I guess it kind of depends what we’re doing on it. Eric is really technical and is amazing at designing graphics and logo’s; he created the picture on my blog header. I’m better at things like social media, researching things online etc.
Who drives when you are together?
It used to always be Eric that drove but after we got in our accident last November I started driving more. Now it just depends. I drove the all summer because it was my car, but when I’m in Fort St. John Eric drives pretty much everywhere!

I also love doing laundry. It’s kind of relaxing for me. I did my last serious boyfriend’s laundry & alot of my friends thought that was so stepford wives’ish, but it was a way that I could kind of take care of him.
