It is a very good friend of mine’s 23rd birthday today so this post is dedicated to her and all the fun times we’ve had!
Jen and I have been friends for a couple of years and she is one of the most confident, outgoing, friendliest, happiest, funnest people I know. We’ve had some wild times.
Halloween 2008.
I met Jen my first year of college in Grande Prairie. I had been working at a restaurant there for about three months. It was the beginning of February and we had just had a huge dump of snow, leaving the roads hellish to drive on. One night, when I went to go into work I discovered that someone had hit my car and left the bumper with a huge hole in it. Great. I ended up being an hour late to work and when I walked in I was frazzled. I had just been on the phone with my mom, my dad, ICBC, Eric, the guy who hit my car (thank god he left a note) and there was a new girl working: Jen.

Almost immediately after we met she began giving me the third degree about me and my life.
How old are you? Where are you from? Do you like it there? Why’d you move here? Do you have a boyfriend? How old is he? Are you in love? How long have you been dating?
I soon learned this was classic Jen. If you meet her, you will get the third degree. And it’s one of the things I love the most about her! Jen is ALWAYS up for a good time and after a few nights out, we became fast friends!
Her birthday last year, our second favourite drink: green apple martinis. First favourite would be red wine.
This isn’t out of the ordinary for Jen, she has lots of close friends. If you need something, anytime of the day or night, she is there for you. She’s always up for going out and doing something fun or even just to keep you company while your run errands. She has been there for me through some rough times. I’ve learned a lot about what it means to be a good friend from her.

I have know Jen since grade 8 and everything you just said about her is 100% true.. we are all lucky to have had Jen in our lives at one point in time.. shes an amazing girl and anyone that is lucky enough to have her as a Friend should be thank full..
