Five Favs.
Please welcome Vanessa from Last Nights Leftovers. Vanessa’s blog is awesome and you should definitely check it out! She’s a fellow Canadian blogger
Hey folks! Vanessa here from over at Last Night’s Leftovers. Amber was looking for guest posts…so here I am. Lucky you!
I was actually introduced to these babies in Italy. Blood oranges are sweet, with a hint of raspberry. Friggin amazing I tell you…and they are so pretty! Be prepared to answer the question “What are you EATING?” if you take one of these into the outside world. I am constantly amazed with the number of people who have lived their lives deprived of blood orange goodness…
If you’ve been to my blog lately, you know that my newest makeup love is Bare Escentuals foundation. That, however, has been blogged to death – so I’m going to tell you about my other favorite face paint. This eye shadow by The Body Shop has been a staple in my makeup bag for quite some time now. I love the golden/green color (picture does not do it justice), and I wear it out a LOT.
I got this pretty little thing at CHAPTERS of all places! I was browsing around, and all of a sudden this gorgeous green bottle caught my eye (can you tell I love green?). It was on sale for around $10 and I needed a new bottle, so I picked it up! It is lightweight (aluminum), slim enough to carry around in my tote bag, and I get compliments on it all the time. Staying hydrated is so friggin important, and I get bad headaches if I get even the slightest bit dehydrated…so this bad boy is really a life saver. Click here if you want to see more of these awesome bottles.
I read a lot of health/fitness/food/nutrition related books – because I am a certified nerd. I like to read it all, including ridiculous things that I know I will disagree with. That way when I get opinionated about them at least I know what I’m talking about. Fair enough, right? I was skeptical about this book when I first picked it up. I was sure this dude was going to push vegetarianism or something (nothing wrong with being veggie, but for the love of God do not try to push it on me!). Instead, he has a really simple message about eating real food, re-establishing the concept of real meals, and adding plant life back into the North American diet.
