Working Girl

in work

I forgot how busy work keeps me. The last four months that I spent in Kamloops NOT working is the longest I’ve ever not had a job since… Grade 11? So about four years ago. Anyways, school keeps me busy–yes, but it’s more of the kind of busy where I always have something to do. There’s always homework to do, even if I’m not always doing it.

When I’m working I’m always working. It’s not something that needs to be done whenever I feel like it. When it’s time to work I need to go to work and do it, no procrastination there. Anyways, my point is I forgot how busy work keeps me, not as much time for blogging or reading blogs that’s for sure!

Yesterday Eric and I spent seven hours baking. Seven. We decided since we’re ’starving students’ (well Eric’s technically not a student but whatever) we’re giving out baking for Christmas presents this year. Anyways, we made gingersnaps, lemon ginger cookies, butter tarts, sugar cookies and no-bake cookies. I ate a lot of dough. Eric was up until 2 a.m. icing the sugar cookies! They look SOO good as soon as I get a camera cord I’ll post some pictures. We got all of our baking done though so my Christmas ’shopping’ is donesky’s!

Okay this blog is really random and all over the place and I don’t have anything important to say so I’m going to quit typing now. I have been eating so bad since going back to work at the restaurant. Fries, soup, bread, shortbread cookies, chocolate mints galore. Oy! I’ll just have to hit the gym extra this month.

I start at the newspaper tomorrow and I am oh so excited about it, but also very nervous. I’ll blog all about it tomorrow night since I have the night off from the restaurant!

Have a great week! Only 10 days till Christmas! Eeek!
